Finally got my Buick! '68 Skylark convertible with 455 in it. Runs like a dream but need to find good mechanic for some basic maintenance now and hopefully some fun mods later. Looking for the cagey veteran so to speak. Possible first round projects could be new carb, front disc brakes, AC (any salvaged fits out there?)

Other toys: Big switch for me, my '72 Sea Ray has a Ford 302. '97 Landcruiser (straight six). Sadly, had to sell the motorcycle.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Working on the 68 skylark front end and have some questions. Thinking of installing Right Stuff disc brake conversion and want to do some additional work to refresh the suspension. Is it worth doing Sc& C stage 2, vs just replacing all bushings and ball joints? What about front sway bar vs SC&C? Any recommends on need for new steering box?

    Thanks!

    Austin Texas?

Where are you located? I'm sure someone on here can recommend a solid Buick mechanic for you.
