Would you consider parting out the breather with the holes in it? I'm after the entire fiberglass portion. I'll PM you with an offer...:dollar:

IS the plastic part the heat riser elbow?

    Hello John,

The fiberglass portion of the ram air cleaner is being referred to as "plastic" in this thread. I sent a PM offering to purchase the 3 pieces off the rusted through air cleaner. If anyone has one, I'm still on the hunt.

    Regards

Just an FYI, I believe the '69 air cleaner base had the breather on the opposite side and the '72 had the triangular shaped driver's opening to clear the air pump. I think most people know this, but just thought I'd clarify. I didn't know about the '69 thing and ended up buying a base that wouldn't fit my '71 car.

Rookie mistake Ken. We've ALL made 'em! I finally got a nice dashpad for my '69 convertible off Craigslist last week. The first two I bought were in beautiful condition, but didn't have the vent on the right side like I needed for my mine. Daah. Then, the next two came damaged. The next one came and someone had painted it instead of it being factory black. I chalked it up to experience, but hindsight being 20/20, I could have just sent mine to Just Dashes and been ahead. Live and learn.

Yep, we've all made those mistakes. I'm just hoping to help someone who might be interested in getting the base for a '69 and find out he has the opposite problem I had! :Dou:
