Hi Everyone. Been lurking but never posted. Love the site. Learned to drive in a '56 Special and have had Buicks ever since. My question....Can the sending tank unit be de-gummed? My car has 50k miles(ragtop with a sad past). I put a used unit in and after it sat over the winter, it refused to read also. Ran across another clean looking unit that will run up and down the ohm meter when tipped. So first, can i soak a unit and see if it will free up? What is in there anyway for a float. And secondly, think this last unit is a working one? ANY 2 cents greatly appreciated.
