Looks like a beauty begging for a high end detail and of course whitewalls. I have to wonder what constitutes it as 1 of 5
It's advertised as an Electra 225 Limited, but in fact it's an Electra 225 Custom with the Limited trim option. Removing the skirts will ruin the perfect lines of the car:
Regardless it’s known now and then as a Limited, I doubt many people said oh I bought a new Electra Custom with the Limited trim. At least the Electra Limited says Limited on it were an Electra Custom doesn’t even say Custom on it, You knew you were looking at the top-of-the-line Electra when you saw the Limited name on it.
It's advertised as an Electra 225 Limited, but in fact it 's an Electra 225 Custom with the Limited trim option For model year 1969 Buick offered the Electra (series 48200) and the Electra Custom (series 48400). There wasn't a separate series for the Limited, because that was not a model but a trim option. Here are the available models for that year, as you can see, no Limited:
And soooooo......what? It doesn't matter to anyone else besides you Erik. Hell, it doesn't even bother a Buick guru like Keith. Most non anal people will just call it an Electra Limited like it's commonly referred to.
we are very aware of that, you are not the only one that knows the details and many may know more than you without googling everything. I have probably owned more Electra’s with the Limited package than most, I know what they are but refer to them as Limited’s as does everyone else in the Buick world, well, except you. I am sure I will see your cut and pasted in the future
