Hey Fella's Today I Found A 69 Gs Behind A Barn Car Is Extremely Rough . But All Options Are Decent . It Has A 3 Inch Sappling Molding Itself Thru The Hood Grate . There Is No Engine Or Trans . It Has The Gs Hood And Stage 1 Dual Snorkle Air Cleaner. Bucket Seats And Hoop Shifter With Console All Seats Need Recovered But Drivers Need All New Foam (just Springs And Tracks Are Threre Damn Racoons) All Glass Is Nice. All Chrome Trim Is Nice.has Buick Ralleys And Gs Grille. Looks Complete Except Engine And Trans Are Gone. It Is Sitting About 6 Inches In Ground Some Air Space Between Ground And Floor. Has Gs Badges. I Have A 69 Skylark And Could Use The Hood,badges,grille,and Maybe Interior Even Thou It Looks Like It Would Be Alot Of Work To Redo And Install Floor Shifter And Column. Anyway He Wants 700.00 If I Buy It And Use The Parts I Want Do You Think I Could Sell Some Items To Recoupe The Loss. My Skylark Is Very Solid And Is Going To Be Painted This Spring. I think the trunk trim is worth a couple hundred as it us a GS only item. If you are going to clone your you are set! Heck you even have VIN tags now.:Brow: That would be worng but you still have them. Check for paper work under the rear seat.

IN CASE I CONFUSED ANYONE IM NOT GOING TO SWITCH ANY TAGS . BUT I WOULD LIKE TO USE AS MUCH AS I CAN TO MAKE MINE LIKE IT. THIS 69 GS IS SO ROUGH THE RACOONS CAME THRU HOLES IN FLOOR AND TORE UP THE SEATS PRETTY BAD.
the car is not worth $700; I'd wag a couple hundred under his nose and do not negotiate take it or leave it and be ready to haul it away immedately or walk away. Does it have posi and rear control arm / frame brackets? Was it a big block car to grab the frame pads and front springs off of? Any options? Stainless trim in good shape? In / out wire harness?
. It Had A 430 In It Last And He Said It Has A Detroit Locker In It But Until I See It Then I Figure It Does N't . The Hood Is In Great Condition With Exception To The Tree In The Grate.i Should Of Said It Has Excellant Stainless Trim Not Chrome. Until I Take A Good Look I'll Have A Better Idea. I Really Only Want The Hood And Air Clean Assy Off It. Thank You For Your Replies
well today i got a better look but was asked to come back tomorrow and look with owner . it is a 1968 gs 400 with a 1969 hood and air cleaner . im up on all the buicks but i know this is a 68 now. im not going to use anything but the hood and cleaner so i will be selling it off whole or parts. i will take some pics soon and post is for sale section . thank you
That is WIERD; there is a 69 GS local that has 68 hood (less rear hood scoop, it was there several months ago) in local yard in Pitiful shape. Buckets gone, console busted, air cleaner and support gone, frame pads gone (TO ME), rear end gone, trans gone, specific trim gone except GS on interior door panel, was non ac car very low option. about only things worth saving: engine and glass. Been there since mid to late 80's.
yes that is mine i put it on last night because i promised to buy it before i knew it was a 68 so im going to keep my skylark all original and sell that one complete . i just figured i would try to sell it for 1500.00 reserve because thats about waht i would get in parting out and scrap weight. im not very knowledgeable on buick cars so thats why at first glance i thought it was a 69 by the hood .\ thanks you

HELLO I AM THE OWNER . IF YOU READ THE WHOLE THREAD YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY I AM SELLING IT . I DID NOT LET IT GET IN THIS CONDTION I SAVED IT FROM A TRUE DEATH . IT IS STILL IN DECENT SHAPE. I AGREE HOW COULD ANYONE LET THIS GET IN THIS CONDITION. BUT WHY BASH ME FOR SAVING IT AND TRYING TO SELL AS A WHOLE TO SOMEONE WHO WILL RESTORE IT RATHER THAN STRIP IT AND JUNK THE SHELL FOR PENNIES. I PAID FOR IT AND IM NOT ASKING TO GET RICH . matt, take a pill and calm down. if you didn't let the car get in that shape, the statement wasn't meant for you. when you put a car on e-bay your gonna get opinions about it. with the pictures i saw, and it not having a engine or trans or driveshaft, i'm thinking it's not decent condition. that's my opinion. i'm sorry if i offended you.
