Just getting that last 10% finished on a full off frame 25 years restoration - this included a new fuel tank and float. Problem is when the car is off the fuel gauge needle reads 3/4 full and doesn't go lower. With the key in ON the position the needle goes way pass full - unfortunately the tank only has about 2 gallons in it. So far I've taken off the ground wire and filed it down to bare metal and put in a new stainless screw. I've downloaded the wiring diagram and have it print out in color. I've checked the connection fromt he tank to the rear wiring harness and I'm just trying to narrow down where the issue is as I don't want to drop the fuel tank unless needed - Hoping someone can tell me what I might test to get this fun in the rear view mirror.
