Hey everyone, I'm new to the site. I'm in Reno, NV and I'm currently swapping an oddfire 225 out of my '69 jeepster commando for the bigger 350. i'd post a picture, but i guess i'm so green it won't let me. Looking forward to being a part of the v8 buick community.

Welcome to the board! My uncle cut his teeth climbing the mountain trails of Colorado with a 48 Jeepster that had a built 340 Buick engine in it. I ended up with most of the big block buick parts he was going to use in the 430 he planned to swap into his Jeepster before he died years ago.
There are quite a few 350 Buick fans here, and you can usually find anything from stock parts to twin-turbo kits here if you look hard enough! Later, Randy

Welcome. And it's good to see a fellow Jeep owner here. Could I suggest you check out the IFSJA (International Full-Sized Jeep Association) and CFSJA (Colorado Full-Sized Jeep Association) sites as well. They has been discussion over the years about engine swaps and how affective they are. IIRC, a lot of it has to dowith how strong the frame is and how much power it can handle befor it twists and breaks.

There can never be too much power, just too much power for the conditions in my opinion.

    Welcome aboard Nicholas.
It's great to have an additional jeep in the fold. I'm just getting started on a '59 Willys Sedan Delivery that will have a '70 BBB 455 & a 200-4R tranny. You're going to meet a fantastic group of people that are full of encouragement & always willing to share their knowledge. Enjoy!

awesome! i wish there was enough room in my engine compartment for a big block, but it's just not in the cards. I'm going to be battling cooling issues on this 350. I'm going to end up modifying the front cross member to fit a proper radiator and electric fan. I'm going to go with some louvers and a hood scoop too, to hopefully get some air moving around in there. Anyways, he's a before pic of the jeepster in case if there's anyone who hasn't heard of it.
