This car is listed in my local paper today. I called and briefly spoke with the owner, located in Fergus Falls, MN, about 3hrs west of Minneapolis MN, and 1 hr away from me in Fargo. It is described as needing a full resto, with some rust issues to deal with, and engine not currently running, but says it is not stuck. He says it is the original drivetrain, verified the VIN matches the engine S/N, but has not uncovered the engine code yet to verify it is a Stage 1 engine. Sounds like the underhood chrome is correct though. The original hood is missing, but he has 2 69 GS hoods. Bucket seats, A/C, power windows, not a sport steering wheel. He DID find a broken Stage 1 hood emblem under a bucket seat. Has not found a build sheet yet, seemed to have looked in the usual places already. Included is a 68 parts car that he says is in good shape, he's thinking as a resto donor for the 69. Both cars go. Asking $5500. I'm not planning to look at it, as I have no space and time for a project. But owner said he's able to email pictures. Flint built car, but he picked it up in AZ, IIRC.
