This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Did the '70 & '72 GS 350 use the same pistons? Or, were the cylinder heads the reason for the lower horsepower?

    Thanks,
    Rob

  2. I believe 70 heads had slightly smaller cc's, 48, with 50 in the 72's, but compression diff was mainly due to use of different pistons.

Here is the website : The BPG

It is basicly a buick club designed to help us start getting things done for the hobby. Reporoduction parts are a major focus, but so are performance minded parts. For the $35 a year you get a bi-monthly magazine called "The Build Sheet" with many cool features and now including club discounts from TA Performance! It is definately money well spent! I'll let one of the directors take over and give you some better detailed info.

The low compression 70 350 will have the same pistons as a 72. The high compression 68/69/70 350's will have a different piston.
pretty much all 350 heads are the same with only 1 or 2 cc's difference in a couple years. Not enough to change from 10.25 to 9:1
