  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

1970 buick skylark 350 2 barrel. Im the 2nd owner. Has been stored in a barn since 1988 And has only 57,000 miles. It is really solid but needs a little body work and a repaint. I bought it in April from a small st louis dealership. I drove it back home 3 hours without any major issues. Within a few weeks I did some brake work, heater core, new shocks, front/rear sway bars, Hei, plugs, wires, air filter, USB charger under the dash, manual gauge pack under the dash. It runs great and doesn't drip a drop of oil but I'm pulling the motor soon to start my build. The parts will be here Tuesday. I ordered an sp3 intake, ta cam, cam bearings, hooker headers, edelbrock avs2 carb, thinner head gasets... etc. Cant wait to start my build.

Yes, mechanical secondary & NOT a double pumper. The rear air flap adjustment opens the valve slowly depending on air flow demand OR causes a hesitation IF opened too quickly.
To bad they don't make these boosters to replace the regular ones on the AFB style carbs. May be a worth while investment/experiment.

Bought this car back in September from fellow board member Larry Gibson.
This is an all numbers matching original that was parked in the early 80's with a hurt engine.
I have pulled the original engine and it will be greased up and bagged for future use. For now I will be installing a different 72 455 with the original heads intake exhaust manifolds etc.
The plan with this car is to get it cleaned up and presentable but to leave it pretty much as is the way it was found in a garage I'm going to make the car run and drive and I may even race it at this year's Pure Stock muscle car drag race in September.

I saw sweet red 1971 white top convertable Skylark at a tranny shop in Taunton MA this morning..
By chance is there a member here that owns it?

It could be a 1972? the grill looked like it but i'm not sure if the GS model only has the extra lip or molding coming from the tip of the hood which this car didn't.
I did not take pic's because it wouldn't of been appropriate..
