  3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete. The shipping will be factored on your delivery address and insurance. I will be sending the contact information all of you have sent me to Teresa at Kochs.     Yes shouldn’t be much longer. The mold is basically complete. I just have to spray some touchup, tooling gel coat on it and sand and buff it out. Shortly after that I’ll lay the first one up and see how it comes out. I think it’ll come out good, I learned a lot building the mold for the rear 71 bumper. The key will be coming up with a layup that makes it light yet strong enough.

    When I get back home this weekend I’ll start on the next hood. I reached out to the next four people on the list to see if they were still interested. One guy has moved on from the Buick and I have not heard back from the other three. So I’m just gonna start this next hood and then when it’s almost complete I’ll go to the next people on the list. I realize a lot of people drop off because of such a long wait times.
