Started off with a decent but cracked busted set in scoop inserts I bought from George N. Stripped them clean. Oversize drilled the original screw holes in the towers. Filled the holes and cracks with JB weld steel epoxy. Sanded or filed to original towers height. Sanded. Sanded. Then I sanded more. When I was fairly content with the sanding process, I REdrilled ALL the tower holes to match 2 DIFFERENT size attachment screws. REtapped all the holes to match the new screws and threaded the screws into the towers to confirm safe depth. Final sanding. Prep sol bathing & cleaning. Applied a light coat Epoxy based self etch primer. VOILA!!! While this set is actually quite nice, you may find the need to use a spot glazing putty here'n there to possibly fill in small imperfections or light sanding marks before applying your top coat. Just say'n. PLEASE NOTE: AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT... I have applied a RED SHARPIE to the 4 LARGE MOUNTING SCREW HEADS... (easily wipes off) THESE 4 SCREWS MUST ONLY BE USED FOR THE FOAM PAD MOUNTING SCREW LOCATIONS!! If you mix and match those screws, I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BUST UP THE TOWERS I JUST SPENT WEEKS REPAIRING!!! GOT IT?? The 4 smaller unmarked screws are for mounting inserts to the HOOD... ONE LAST THING. you do not need to torque ANY of these 8 screws ~ PERIOD... Simply snug them up till they are tight then leave them alone. OVERTIGHTENING will damage these threads. DO I NEED TO REPEAT THAT??? Enuf said? I'm sure you get the point. Buy this set as shown: $142.11 shipped to any lower 48. PayPal expected. GET IN LINE HERE FIRST~ THEN PM ME YOUR INTENT!! Yes, a great deal. I did a set last year, sold them for much more than $142 and I never want to do another. They are very labor intensive.
