Like everyone else, I am looking for a very good to excellent condition radio bezel for my 71 skylark. I have about 4 now that people said were good but they of course are not. Dave :beer :3gears:
Radio Bezel Dave, thats not a easy one. The last one went for $70.00 on Ebay. I would find a good core and have JW replate it. The big thing to look for in a good core is no deep scratches and no "droop" on the top middle top part of the bezel. If I find a nice one I'll let you know but for know I hope this helps, AL
Joe, sounds like you are offended. That was not my intention. You are a very respected member on this board and I was not questioning you. I am just looking for something better. I know I would not get anywhere close to NOS for $25.00. The picture that you posted did not show the dirt and all the black stuff on the chrome however. If you would rather me just send it to your customer for you I can. Dave
Radio Bezel I did find my spare one!!! As far as the one that sold for $25.00 it is worth it because its a unwarped perfect canadate for replating. I was going to buy it until I found my spare to send out. Joe this guy sounds as picky as me and I think he would be better off keeping the nice one he bought from you and have JW restore it, AL.
Radio Bezel Dave JW is Jim Weise and he is one of the founders of the BPG. The last price I got was for a Radio Bezel $75.00 and he does nice work!!! AL.
visit www.mrgusa.com I got some parts from them including vents, instrument cluster, steering column cover, radio bezel and armrest base plates. All were excellent. Mr G's seems to be the only chrome plastic plater still in business. All the other ones I have used over the last 10 years have went out of business. I don't know what is happening. Mr G's charges $40-5 for a radio bezel.
