70-72 Skylark Hood

I have an extra 70-72 Skylark hood that I don't need. I think it's in very good shape but I haven't seen it in a few months (we haven't had rain in over 100 days so I doubt it rusted in the last couple of months) but last time I saw it there was no rust or dings. It's Black, the paint is in poor shape but the hood it self is fine. If you want it I'll give it to you free......But I can't ship this thing. You can pic it up or your buddy, cousin, ex-wife etc.. can come get it. Or I'm going to Denver in May and I can drop it off along the way or in Denver. I just thought before I throw this thing out I'd see if another Buick guy might want it? I can take pictures if you want to see it first. :beer

Yep, one day these hoods could be worth thousands of dollars. Today.....you can't give them away :laugh:

 

I'd surely take a good 70 hood if it wasnt so far away. Just so we all know though, what year is the hood? The 70 is different from the 71 an 72 and 72 has the tri shield.

 

I'm not sure of the year. The nose isn't like a 70 GS, more like a 71-2 GS. I think it has a spring on the underside. Of the two hoods I got it was in the best shape, but I used the one that's nose was like my GS hood so I could transfer my nose molding. I'll snap a few pictures tomorrow and post them. :TU:

If your generous offer to give away the hood has no takers, I am looking for a good to excellent shape front edge hood trim piece for my '72. I don't need the rest of the hood. I am even willing to pay (you can send the money to JW to support the board if you'd wish). Tim's already taken the spare one. But you are welcome to use the stage 2 hood if you want. I'd be willing to loan it to you if you wanted to use it at the track or something. :beer

 

I was just kidding. I was refering to the GS hood, not the Stage 2.

I actually have a nice 72 Skylark hood of anyone else wants it. If it ever snowed we could have a cool sled race.
