L Code 70 455 Cast Iron Intake Needed We need a 70 cast iron intake(#1231718) with a date code of L. That translates to November 69.
The number above and the date code are on top towards the front and obvious. They are raised and cast into the block.

Yours is April 24, 1970 which is too late for the 2nd week of December, 1969 build date for the car in question. We do appreciate you looking though.
Joe I am going to have to consult with Duane on that one but my instinct is that I have never seen one on a car that falls in the same week as the build week date. As you know that intake date is also in the second week of December. I have seen them as early as the week before. But I am going to ask him his opinion. If it was dated three days earlier I would take it.
Yes I have since learned that is L is really what I need. If not Gary's late K will have to do. But we have time to see if an L will show.
