I am doing this for a daily driver. I don't have all the chroming done to the edges, but I wanted to show you where it is as of today. I am going to use a silver pen for the rest of it. Also I haven't finished the radio piece yet. I'll post pix's of that when done.

Very nice Job! Could you be more specific on how and what you used to achieve those results.

    Thanks,

Looks really good. Could you tell us what equipment you used, what prep work you did, etc?

    You got it ragtops

Here is another pix of the dash with the other piece put back in it. It is respectful finish for a nice daily driver piece. The initial cost is expensive, $25 an ounce, and you have to buy 4oz.

How much of the 4 ounces did you use Jarrod?

Chris, not much at all, this stuff goes a long way. I would safely say lesss than an oz. I bought it when it was only $20 an oz and I am just getting to the bottom of it. It does go a long way. I have other projects that I am doing all for this 70 Buick I got here.

Jarrod did you use an air brush gun or a regular air gun. If I were you I would make a mask to paint the bezels and start charging to do this instead of plastic chrome. You want to start with mine:)

I used an Airbrush, they are easy enough to mask off. The hardest part is the areas around the gauges. I just picked up some silver enamel pens this morning so I can finish it up that way. I am going to calculate time and materials on the next one, which is coming in on friday,.. I think. I have no problem doing this for anybody that wants it done. We can talk

I got the silver pens today and here is the finished product. I must note when this is done the black areas on the dash are high gloss so that might make it look even more spiffy.

Thanks Guy's and Randy,... how you been? I was away from the site for almost 2 years. One of these days I should get my butt back up your way and stop by.

I have to say that it looks sharp, but that stuff definitely isn't cheap. I would hope that there would be enough to do at least two complete dash and radio bezels to make it worthwhile.

How durable is this stuff for an exterior application? Bumpers? Exterior chrome parts?
