It was in 2001,it says with 3.91 gears, but I think he told me it was 4.30s??.best et was 14.19 at 100.55mph. :3gears: Jim
Tom, my first car was a B5 '70 340 Duster auto. I bought it brand new in July 1970. 2nd day, 150 miles on the clock, 14.60@96, within a month of playing I got it to 13.90's at 101 on E70's. Not bad for a 16 year old kid at the time... A friend of mine had a fluke quick one that ran high 13.70's with a 4 speed on E70's. Most were right around the 14.0's in '70 if you were lucky. The '68 4 speed cars were the fastest. Good luck. JH
Wow I would have thought they would run better than that.I guess a high 13 is about right tho.I wonder how fast I could get mine to go? Seems like you guys have alot of fun at the ps drags.I always wanted to make the trip up but haven't yet.It would give me a excuse to do something with the car.I used to take it to work every now and then. Not anymore,it just sits in the driveway.Maybe I'll bring it up one of these days
Hey Tom, good idea :TU: . How much work does the car need to be track worthy? Maybe if you get going on it we can both invade the PS Drags this year. I just finished installing the motor in the Cuda. I am itching to go to the PS Drags myself. :3gears:
If I wasn't under the gun I'd get nothing done.It really wouldn't be that much work. 4 correct tires, engine blueprint with the proper intake and exhaust, wet sand and buff, replace the carpet and loose the gas tank with the sump and I'm :3gears: Engine has to come out anyway, the thrust bearing is beat. The car is a stick so its only a matter of time before something ugly happens :ball: I wouldn't want to give up the numbers matching block. PS looks like fun
He might be referring to the Dayton Ohio race at Kil Kare. There is another thread here regarding that one.
GM Chrysler what the Ford! How did I miss that? Maybe I will bring my 72 Cuda. It's more of a surviver really.Might be something to think about
Don't have any expectations yet. No car limit. All who attend the September race will be notified, plus the usual suspects from this and other boards. Same rules and format as September Stanton.
