I have a LH 70-72 fenderwell. Where are you located?

He is looking for the RH 70-72 battery repair panel and is hoping that the piece can be used on a 68-69 car, which I believe will work, but need verified.

Thanks, no need to be sorry. Will take any help good or bad. My homemade plate will keep battery from falling thru but, neither falls into place/ restored core support . + barely clears rust allready on rise of well. My homemade plate ,just a backyard fix..Have yet to install redone core support,

X2 on the repros from Mike (mrbuick.com). I've used his core patch panels on three 71/72 core supports, and was VERY pleased.

I have one that is like the one in post #6. $90 dollars plus the ride from 62568, Taylorville IL. I am 200 miles south of Chicago so shipping should not be horrible.

    OK here is the skinny,
If you are trying to repair a 68-69 radiator core support, then you would need the 68-69 repair kit that Mike Garrison makes. (The 70-72 units will not work.)

If you are trying to repair a 68-69 passenger side inner fender then I believe you can use the 70-72 repair panel, but you need to verify that.

You may have to do a little tweaking to it, but I believe people have made them work.

The heading reads fender well patch , so I’m assuming he’s looking to patch the lower fender? Unless I’m mistaken ?

Im working on my 68 everyday. The homemade plate is installed. Hi torque racing s old me the core repair + tho the repaired core is off I can compare . Actually year one has 70 well piece in stock. No need to butcher restored core with cobbled up plate to keep 68 daily driver tru another winter. Now aluminum radiator require modification to fit while recored would fit right in.

I cut the bottom lip of the core support at the lower hose and where drain is. Also have shortened the prothane insulator s to fit core tray yet still secure alloy radiator. While removing thermal clutch fan again noticed pulley side to side movement so time for new pump

I sell the core support kit for the 68-9 but the fenderwell has to be repaired by using a 70-2 patch or hand fabrication

The homemade plate for the rotted out core, doesn't flow into the repaired core IMG_20210827_173150.jpg

Placed an order with Year One. / After two weeks It still hasn't been shipped-so- looks like I get to play the run around game with those people to get my $ back. I ain't waiting. Its in stock... . It was either them or Joe from TPP. Think I'll just make up another version to fit .

I meant to pull the plug on order\ but my buddy who was brokering the deal decided to do a 4 day holiday sweep. So after holiday thought I could wait. Part came in yesterday and matches core. Fits like stock and will need a stock tray IMG_20210916_170143.jpg

I did not know you had the '68-9 core support patch kit. Seems like guys are always looking for good core supports. I know @NoVA_69_GS350 was and seemingly the '70-2 fender liner (wheelhouse) patches work well enough.
