    What are the differences exactly?

The picture of the front spoiler behind your car is actually a very very very late 70 or 71-72 spoiler.

The vast majority of the 70 spoilers had the entire lip (the top edge of the spoiler) stay the same distance from where it dropped down. Plus they attached to the center grill mount at the middle point.

The 71-72 style spoilers have an extra “triangle” of material at the center area, like yours. They added this material because they did not attach the center screw to the center grill brace, but opted to bolt the center of the spoiler directly to the core support.

Now there were a few, and I mean a few of the 70 cars that came with the 71-72 style spoilers, but they used an entirely different style baffle then you see for the 70 or 71-72 cars.

The baffle would have fit the 70 bumper at the front, but was trimmed like a 71-72 baffle at the back. I have only seen 1 of these and I have it as it was given to me.

    It is a weird animal.

You should see if there is a “screw hole” at the bottom of the grill center brace. That will let you know what it came with. That is unless it has been replaced, so make sure you check the date code of that part.

    PS,
After looking at the pic of the spoiler behind your car, it looks like a 71-72 style spoiler that was mounted like a 70 was, ie. screwed to the center brace.

You can turn it into a 70 by cutting that extra “triangular” piece out.

    It would weigh less anyway.
