This is a Sloan documented 1970 Buick, GS 455, one of 5589 hard tops produced that year. It is a Carolina car, never any northern rust. The car was restored,(Frame On) in 2012/2013 when it was stripped to bare metal and assembled down to the bare body, leaving only the drivetrain intact. It is a high number two condition, and one of the nicest examples in the country that you can actually drive and enjoy. Show winner first time out. Color is fire, red, paint code 75, with a black vinyl top, just as it came from the factory. Bumpers are show chrome and all stainless trim in original and polished out all wiring harnesses were replaced front to back. No expense was spared in doing this car the right way, no corners cut all quality workmanship and materials used. The engine is original to the car and was rebuilt to stage one specs and has maybe 30,000 miles on it since the rebuild, same with the TH400 transmission. The rear end is a 12 bolt 3.42 posit unit. The AC is new 2022 classic auto air. All upholstery was done, including seats, headliner, carpeting, and door panels, as was all rubber, weatherstripping, and seals. A Buick, factory eight track tape player player was installed as part of the restoration and plays like new through the radio speakers using the factory wiring harness. no hang on unit or external speakers allowed here, tilt wheel, map, reading light, and the optional sport wheel are three of the more desirable options to come on this car, along with power steering and power front disc brakes. The suspension was upgraded with Hotchkis and global west components, which makes the car ride and handle like a new car. It sticks to the road and corners with no roll or sway. The frame is straight clean. The car is driven and not a trailer queen. Tires are BF Goodrich TA’s, 245 mounted on flawless Buick rally wheels. The car actually runs and drives like new no rattles or squeaks, very strong and fast like a GS 455 should be and has that great muscle car sound. If you’re looking for a beautiful 1970 GS 455, the best year ever, look no further. Lots of receipts and documentation are included along with plenty of conversation if you are truly interested. You will be totally responsible for all shipping costs but I will help coordinate the process as best I can on my end a $2000 deposit with 24 hours of the auction’s end will be required via PayPal, unless otherwise, arranged, or the car will be relisted. The remaining balance will be due within seven days or the car will be relisted and your deposit forfeited. The car is for sale through other means, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason, if you were truly serious about the car, I would welcome you, or someone you designate, to inspect the car. I am also available to chat on the phone and provide more pictures. If you like just let me know I can be reached at show contact info

Hi Kerry. VET here. Man, that is a good-looking GS. Southern car with no rust, big time PLUS.
I'm not a Buick purest, so I like the GSX strips and rear spoiler.
The Red paint is super good looking.
I like the 12-bolt rear, it's very difficult to find diff parts for an 8.2.

Good luck with the sale. :D

Not a bad deal if someone likes those custom touches but that's the problem w/building it that way. It's hard enough sometimes to find a buyer for a non-S1/X car & the customization further limits the potential market IMHO.

I agree with you Dano, I understand where you are coming from.
I remember when I was 20 years old, my second Hot Rod car was a 56 Chevy Belair two door hardtop.
Those cars came out of the factory with a 265ci SB. I couldn't wait to get a 365 HP 327 Vette engine hooked with-up a Borg Warner T-10 4-speed and a 4:56 differential into this car with cheater slicks.

Include some power adder's, hooker headers, an Offenhauser low profile tunnel ram intake manifold and Holley first Spread bore with double pumpers, out on the market in 1970.

I did all this so, I could blow the doors off some Big Block cars, and I did. Those were the fun days. Reminds me of the movie, American Graffiti.
Always trolling the streets, looking for the next car to race.

I wasn't into the Restoring my Chevy like it came out of the Chevy factory. It was about building a mean street muscle car.
Unfortunately, I still think that way. With Buicks, nothing turns me on like a Bad Ass GSX does. It looks like what a muscle car supposed to look like, and sounds like one too. Even when I see someone that builds a very good Clone of a GSX, I still love it.

The thing I miss most on my GS is a 4-speed. Sorry Dano, I just love mean fast cars. I don't get wrapped up in the cost or lack of. VET

No need to apologize:). The differing takes on builds is what makes this hobby fun & interesting.
