70 GS Hood - Excellent Condition (No dents) - Complete with scoop grilles, front moulding, rear edge moulding, washer nozzles, etc. Scoop Grilles & Ft. Hood moulding are not pitted, but need re-chrome. Underside of hood has some rust in a couple areas that is a little more than surface rust, but other than that this is the nicest hood I've ever had (I've had a lot of them over the years) and I was saving it, but I need the space and money. I'm sure someday I'll be sorry I got rid of it. Price: $1250, located in Cockeysville, MD. I would rather someone pick it up. I can crate it for shipping and we get good shipping rates, but it takes a few hours and material (plywood, foam, etc.) to adequately crate one of these, so there would be $150 crating charge plus the cost of shipping.
Hey Dano... Im certain a bunch of us on this forum would really appreciate if you TOOK THE HOOD OFF THE POINTS!!!!! Simply set it on its side... PLEASE DONT BE OFFENDED...but, supporting all the weight of the hood on those little points... ERKS ME.... because bodyworking those points back to the right curve/form is a nearly IMPOSSIBLE TASK... Please humor me woodja :Brow: ... set the hood on its side... HAPPY NEW YEAR DANO!!!
No offence taken and having done plenty of bodywork myself I understand the concern, but I've had many, many hoods over the years and have always VERY carefully stood them up like this and always set them very gently down and always with wood under the corners and never damaged one. I guarantee the corners on this aren't bent.
