    Bill,

From the chassis service manual pg 40-12

Front at top of wheel opening 26 1/2"
Rear at top of wheel opening 24 5/16"

A stock GS has a slightly lower rear than the front.

Contact ESPO Springs and things https://www.springsnthings.com/
They have all the original specs and can help if you need something a little stiffer.

    Thanks Dave ,
My front right is correct , left front does have an aluminum spacer
    in one coil .
Back looks close but wheels are off to install new 3 " exhaust .
Not bad for 51 year old springs and 112 K miles

I like how as these cars age they sit lower...as long as it is even......

I used moog 5385’s in the rear and 5398’s in the front. Currently sits at 26 1/8” in rear and 25 3/4” front w the moldings. Will probably settle a bit more after I put some miles on them but really like how it sits now.

Are the specs from book based on a g60-15 , 26.8 diameter tire. I have 245/60’s which are 26.6”

I see so many cars too high in the back. It really detracts from a stock car. I remember them when they were new and to the naked eye they sat dead level.

    Hi Bill

In my A/C equipped car I used Moog 5385 in the rear and Moog 5536 in the front. Currently sitting with a ride height of:

    25" left rear
    25 1/2" right rear
    25 3/4" left front
    26" right front

all measured to the centre of the wheel well moulding.

Curious how my car sits a little higher on the right side. Especially as now my right rear spring is loose enough to take out by hand when the car is on the hoist and actually clunks when driving.

For shocks I used AC Delco premium gas shock 88945169 in the front and AC Delco premium gas shock 88945170 in the rear.

Kind of like this. Mine has original springs that have settled about an inch. 25.5 up front and 25 in the rear. Tires are 245/60 x 15 front and 295/50 x 15 rear.
