Watching this, as I've got a White GSX that I plan to start redoing it next year.

Who owns and who restored this GSX?

That is a "fantastic" looking and restored and kept-up GSX.
I wish I had the money to buy it.
    $80K is a steal.....

I was suprised at that opening bid & that was before he asked some questions. It'll take a lot more than that to buy it.

I sure hope it sales over the $100K mark.

On Mecum today, I saw a Clone 70 Yellow GSX, very well cloned that sold for $25K. Frankly, since I can't afford a "real" 70 GSX, I would have bought it.

Then I saw a 70 Chevelle BB 454/450 HP and it sold for $100,000K. What the hay, 70 Chevelle can't come close to compare to a GSX or a Stage 1,
    NO WAY....

I'd think the reserve is at least $150k. Will be interesting to see.

    That's more realistic.
Worth every bit of $150K. :)

Gentlemen, I own the 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 that went up on Bring A Trailer yesterday. The car was originally restored by Ernie Baxendale, a former Buick Performance Group member on the east coast. I did do the updates prior to showing it at the GS Nationals, 50th Reunion of the GSX, in Bowling Green in 2021 (delayed a year due to covid. Happy to answer any questions that I can. Beautiful car Larry. Congrats on the excellent restoration and the Concours Gold award. You guys did a fantastic job.

    Good luck with the auction.

Thanks. Small world - Your car was on my old rotisserie that Ernie (@ebax on here IIRC) stole from me. He borrowed/was supposed to pay me some rent for using it for his GSX, never returned it, & subsequently sold it & refused to pay me anything.

Gee Dano, Ernie is a real jerk to do that to you. I'm glad I got to meet you, you're one of the nicest guys I have met.
Also, thank you for taking my Buick parts to John C.
I hope you used my interior that you and Charlie made a deal on.
Sorry this situation happened to you, VET.

Thanks & it was a pleasure to meet you. Most the guys in this hobby (like John & Charlie) are good/honest/etc. & I'm too trusting.
Yup. As you well know, there are a few of 'em but lots of good ones too.

Ernie's brother bought my old '70 Stage 1 4-sp. Have wondered what ever became of that one.

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

$140k + $5000 buyers fee to Bring A Trailer. Plus the cost to get it home.

In my state of TN there would also be a 7% sales tax to register the car the first time which would be another $10,150.
