Hey yall, I have bought a 70 lark' with the intention of (A) selling it as a rolling racecar body. Or (B) parting it out. If possible I would like some opinions on what would be considered the "A" list of parts that you would look for right off the bat. Maybe a 1-5 or 1-10 list. Just to give me an idea before I make that final decision. I'm NO 70-72 guy, just had an opportunity and took it. Thanks,
All the 70 only parts: bumpers, front markers and rear taillites, grill and 3 piece grill trim(which can be used on a GS grill) rear bumper emblem, clear top overflow jug and pointed gauge lenses if it has them. Dash bezel, of course any good sheet metal, especially core support. The sad thing is that there is more money in it apart than together.
Look for the floor shifter console lid.... and then send it to me when you find it. p Andy.. what are you doing up? Don't you know it's late in Ohio? p
I'm a 3rd shifter for the last 15 years. Too much agony turning my sleep around for a day or 2 , so I don't even bother trying to anymore, unless I have to. And besides, its soooo peaceful at my house when everyone else is in bed:laugh:
The core support might be part #1, if it has a 1970 code stamped on it. Look at the passenger side above the headlight area. I've got a '71, but I don't give a hoot. Show car guys will though.
Anything with a Tri-Shield on it: Rear view mirrors, opera light lenses, 16" armrest bases. If you find any of those, I'd be interested. :Brow:
