The '70 Rivs have grown on me. When they're really nice they look good but unlike some cars, when deteriorated they look lousy. I like this one. Usually they're dark colors.
The short skirts always help these cars; too bad these look so wrong with the missing paint. If they looked like the two in this it’d look better. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1970-buick-riviera Patrick
I like the shorty skirts! 1970 Buick Riviera Grand Sport FOR SALE - $55,000 (Placerville,CA) Another GranD car....
Both are beauties. It's about time Buicks start getting some recognition. Of course when they do it will probably put me out of range $$$. I hope he gets it!
Agreed. Classy car, long skirts. The short skirts look like the stainless trim we put on pickup wheelwells in the 90s, and they're fatter than the front so kinda funky and mismatched looking.
Those "mini skirts" have been chrome plated Lucas. They're normally body colored with stainless trim like the front.
I put those 90s wheel well trim on Natalie's Hyundai not to long ago this weekend we are replacing outside door handles she found some dude that had a chrome plated set from back in the day.
There are a lot of other Buicks I would spend $55,000 on before this one . The 70 Riviera never enticed me but this one is better than most. Good Luck with the sale .
I think this Rivi may have the fully automatic Climate Control option - see the little circle on the top edge of the dashboard center right. Very highly optioned Rivi.
It’s a super cool car, I think the guy is just testing the waters. I once sold a car far over market value, some people have money to burn and when they want something they get it.
Gateway also has a '70 GS for sale, same asking price: https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/NSH/1293/1970-Buick-Riviera-GS YouTube video:
