I think that is the first diplomat blue / dk.blue interior Stage that I have seen. Despite not being the best pic quality, it does look like a really nice car.
I think the one that sold a few years ago on here & was again sold this year was Diplomat/blue interior. Definitely a rare an nice color combo.
The only Buick color better than Diplomat Blue imho is Royal Blue. (Yes, I know they are the same color.)
There is a member on this site, near Columbus Ohio, that is restoring a 70 Stage1 with the blue deluxe interior. Maybe he will chime in. I believe it is a twin to that. It came from out west.
Nice lookong car cant wait to restore Mine so it looks that nice. Mine is a numbers matching stage 1 4 speed has the blue int. Orig came with a bench seat
I sold a Stage I about 15 years ago to a member here,it is Diplomat blue inside and out. I forget,it is a convertible . Bruno.
I think I will buy it for the wheels. Just joking of course, but it is a pretty car. I love the blue interior!
Orig. Options: Stage 1 Auto/console Power Drum Brakes/steering AM/FM/8-track/Rear Speaker Chrome 14" wheels w/OWL tires A/C F-41 Tinted glass Remote mirror Door edge guards Map/trunk lights, gauges/Rallye Clock Upper peak molding Rallye Steering wheel Nicely optioned and depending on the quality of the restoration, engine/trans #s, and carb/dist/etc., seemingly a good deal. Suprised it's still available.
Beautiful diplomat blue blue stage 1 just from the new pictures it does have a 71/72 hood on it. You can tell by the radiator cover mark Can’t fault the car though it is 50+ years old. Worth every penny of 58K. Should be 65K.
It's a very pretty car. I'm guessing those missing 70 parts are right next the crossbars and complete emergency brake set up. Who needs that crap on a Stage 1 trailer queen, anyways?
