I am still needing a 9inch tailshaft TH350 tranny. I have a 91 TH700R4 with 119,665 miles on it that works great that I am willing to trade.

If you are wanting overdrive this is your chance.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the normal length of a TH350 tail shaft?

Usual length is 6" I think.
The 9" was used in the mid-70's Impalas & 2-wheel drive pickups (among other places I'm sure).

    interested in a th400?

I have a th400 out of a 71 electra 225 that I drove home and parked and pulled every ting out so i was working but would probably need new seals.

if you are interested let me know.

Th400 is too long, can't use it. Thanks anyhow.

How about a 400 short-shaft? Or is that getting too short?

I'm guessing you're trying to avoid having to modify your driveshaft? (I'm not sure how 700 compares to 350long).

Yeah, 400 short is too short. A TH350 with a 9 inch tailshaft is perfect.

Dennis, would a 350 in a chev (71) 2wd, long bed work for you?

Sorry, I think I already have one coming. Its from a 70s Z28 and has the appropiate driveshaft.
