This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Someone told me you could use a 700r4 trans from late Olds with 307 Motor behind Buick 455. Anybody ever try this? How about electrical problems? Bernie Steffen.

There were some dual pattern 700-R4s made, but the 200-4r has a better gear selection and a larger overdrive( 200-.67 and 400-.70) and will bolt up to your engine

No, there were never any production dual-pattern 700R4 transmission cases. They were all Chevy V8 or 2.8L V6 patterns. The 2004R was either dual pattern or BOP pattern only.

The adapter required to mount a 700R4 to a Buick is fairly inexpensive and easy to install if you choose that route.

200r4 vs 700r4 I hear all these stories about spending 2500 dollars on a 200 trans to make it live behind a 455. I was hoping I could find some kind of overdrive that would work in reasonably stock form. Old guy How old are you I'm 69 thanks for info Bernie Steffen
