I pulled this from a running and driving 71 skylark. Has a carter 4bbl carb. Had an msd distributor, and an old set of TA headers. The distributor and headers are gone, but the intake and carb are still on. So here's the deal, $200 firm complete. I want this motor out of my garage, and I will not remove the intake and sell seperately. No shipping. Must pick up in southwestern PA.
"IF" you decide to pull the intake I would like to be first in line.......I'll even ship a box to mail it in and the return UPS label!! Scott
Well guys, after posting this, I decided to pull the oil pan this morning to make sure everything was tight. Turns out, one of the rod bearings is spun, and I couldn't hear it through the open headers. So I've decided to keep the intake for my GS, and scrap the motor. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
No problem...got excited for a brief moment, but it passed. I read some stuff on that manifold and it mentioned no performance gain (actual loss) until you add a spacer to the carb and then voila! torque and HP increase. All testing done on a dyno.
