  3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete.     Owner (Tim) finally returned my call today. Not much of a talker but this is what I could get out of him:

    The 71 GS is a black on black car. He's owned it for over 10 years. 455 auto, non-numbers matching. Used to have a black vinyl top. New GM fenders/qtrs and core support. Has buckets and console, A/C and 15" sport wheels. Solid trunk. He wasn't sure what year the engine was.

    The 72 is a 350-4 auto. Orange w/black vinyl top. He said it was was a good builder.


    The 70 is a plain jane 350-2 with A/C. Said it was solid.

    When I asked how many miles were on the cars he said he had no idea and that he would have to go look.

    Sorry, like I said he wasn't much of a talker and he really didn't volunteer much. He has the cars in the local auto trader but they aren't picture ads.

    I also have spoken to Tim about his cars and he took my e-mail address and had just bought a digital camera and would send me some pics......that was last sunday 1/8 and I'm still waiting......will share when I get them....the 71 has a auto th 350 for a tranny ....this car he built 12 years ago and has sat for a bit. the 72 was his former wifes car that she got in the settlement and he bought it back from her friend but he said it was let go a bit.
