'71 GS door emblems....

    I'm cross-posting this from "Interior City" to try to get answer quick because I waited until the last minute to buy a Christmas present!!! :Dou:

    I'm trying to find out if the '71 GS door panel emblem Buick shield was red, white and blue or just painted black. Year One says they were painted black and also sells the painted black ones. In the OPG catalog it shows red, white and blue.

    What's correct? Help quick, please or I'll be in BIG trouble! :spank:

    71 GS door emblems

    Dee , I want you to know it was VERY cold outside to check this ! What guys will do to keep women happy......

    My 71 has red GS letters and the usual red , white ,and blue tri- shield and a fine black line on the border of the emblem .

    Thanks for checking!!! This is a Christmas present for my boyfriend, so it's to keep my man happy.

    Thought the red, white and blue was correct. OPG only had one correct emblem in stock, so I went with Year One that isn't painted. :eek2: Hope he's good with his painting skills!
