Painting the engine compartment and cutting in some body color. The area in question is below my windshield, below the lower windshield trim and below the screening where the windshield washer lines are, but rearward of the firewall. It is a cavity about 4 to 6 inches wide and a couple inches deep and runs basically from fender to fender. It is right there and not hidden or anything, I just don't know exactly what to call it. Anyhow, was this area originally painted black or body color? My car is a Flint,MI car if it makes a difference, sometimes it does.
No body color. Black as stated above but I have seen factory overspray of body color here on junkyard cars but it looks sloppy.
