Anyone out there know who has the best deals on rechroming bumpers or repro bumpers. I restored a Lemans 2 years ago & I exchanged them for rechromed ones from The Bumper Boyz. Front was $257.00 & rear was $300.00. Any feedback wold help greatly. Money going away quickly the more I'm getting closer to the end of the resto. Any opinions on painting the bumpers the body color? Has anyone been seeing this on restored or customized 70-72's. The car is a 71 GSX clone in red w/black stripes & yellow outlines like the one in the Year one catalogue page 156.
I would avoid the Bumper Boyz. Cheapest is not alway the best deal. Around here we use Tri-City in Elizabethton, Tn--better quality and a lifetime warranty. And there are other good choices in other area of the country.
Bumper Exchange The Parts Place Inc. I think they are in Chicago, IL. They advertise both front and back bumpers for $279.00 each plus $150.00 each if you don't have a core. I not sure on the quality but I have purchased many items from them and have found them to be good parts.
