Yeah those were the days, Single when I bought my iron stage two heads The wife still doesn't know what they are or worth I will have to leave her a note.
Yes Mike, it was a bench seat 4spd car and it had the most complete Stage I engine I'd ever seen, the carb, dist, fuel pump, valve covers, air cleaner, were all correct and untouched on this car. Again, this was the one car I should have kept regardless of the body issues. Larry.
Wow. I wonder where it is today? Always curious because there were only 9 of them. This would be the 7th one that is known of, if all info I have heard is correct. What state was it in when you sold it?
I hauled the car to Illinois, I forgot the the name of the town. But it found it's way home nonetheless because under the front seat of the car I found several Byron Ill, dragstrip timeslips dating back to 1974, If I recall the car ran 14.05 and 14.08 then. Larry
So, I'm super late to this thread. But has anyone manager to figure out who bought this car? Given that I have passed on the opportunity to by two of the 9 4-speed cars over the years for various reasons I'd like to know as much about this car as possible.
I really hope the new owner can procure the original block...this would (most likely) seal the deal on its legitimacy.
Even if they can't get the original block maybe they could get good pics of it showing the vin number. That would even help more than not having anything at all.
