I just bought a car from a guy (sorry not a Buick, 64 Dodge 440 wagon) that also has a 71 Sportwagon with power windows for sale. He is asking $950 for it. It is pretty solid. It has some minor rust in the lower rear qtrs. and lower front fenders. He said the guy he bought it from said the 350 ran a few years ago. I would have bought it but I wanted a rust free car and the Dodge was all original and spotless. I am tired of getting projects that need to be in my shop for a year while I fix rust. I already have one rustbucket (72 Riviera) in my shop that I have set aside until I am in the mood to do some major rust repair. It is so much better to pay more for a car and get a better starting point for your project. If your interested the guys name is Ken and his # is 423-357-1444 Tell him Marty sent ya.

  2. I will be the first and probably the only to say great buy. What motor does it have under the hood.In 1963 there were Max Wedge Wagons from the factory and I have heard they built some 1964 Max Wedge Wagons but have never seen a real Hemi or Max Wedge Wagon built in the 1964 production year.Is this a 9 passenger wagon.

  3. Also Marty you can go to www.moparts.com and take a look around, there are lots of different brand owners on there.

It has a 318 2 barrel. It is a 6 passenger model. A 64 Dodge 440 wagon with a max wedge 426 sold on Ebay a few weeks ago for about 15K. It was a factory 4 speed also. This is the first Mopar I have owned. I don't know much about them as I have always been a G.M. fan. Can you recommend any good message boards similar to this one that I could ask questions and learn more about Mopars?

  5. Marty I believe the car you are talking about had a 426 - 4 speed in it but this motor was not a Max Wedge just a Wedge. It is the same 426 Ci.but has different heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, and came with alot less compression. It would of been a single four barrel carb. These 426 4 barrel 4 speed wagons are more common than a lot of people think, the Miilitary purchased quite a few of these cars.
