Len, thanks for posting those. First picture is my Stage-1 original with my template. I ma gong to try and improve it some bu darkeningprint a bit and making degree circles a bit bigger but it is pretty close I think. Second picture is current weak looking reproduction on market.

    Dave,

I'll take one also even though I have a 72. The 71 bears a close enough resemblance to a 72 close to be able to use it. At least it would be in better shape than the original. I have attached a pic of the original 72 for reference.

    Thanks,

    Larry

Larry, Looks pretty close but I seam to remember 72 label was a bit smaller. 71 measures about 9 3/16" by 2 15/16"

I guess you could just cut off the picture of hose routing.

OK Ken. They are actually looking better than my copy in picture as I had them improve on it a bit and make it look even more original. Hopefully they come out nice.

    Dave/copperheadgs1:
If there is an existing defect in the current reproductions other vendors are selling, I should think that some other retailers - especially with close Buick ties like Poston, etc. - would probably buy from (i.e., switch to) you as a supplier considering your investment is already made and the proper materials your decals have compared to the others. That may ultimately bring costs down more and make you a little $$$.

Kudos for taking this project on.

Yeh, the current market available decal is not correct. Check out my pictures above that compares them all. 71 Stage-1's are so rare probably not much interest from the big guys. Some may be OK with the incorrect looking decal as well. Strange the current reproduction says Stage-1 in the upper left corner where the original does not. Mine will be a more faithfull recreation of the original for the picky like me. This is one of the first things visible on an open hood so it may as well be correct. I don't really expcet to make much if anything on these jsut more of a selfish thing to have best possible. If others can benefit I am happy to help anyone with one ot these great cars.
