I'm afraid this one can't be repaired, or can be, but would just be too much hassle (the car was hit hard) If anyone has a good, solid core support for the 72 skylark, I'm interested, please e-mail me. Thanks.
Steve, I have a real nice one I bought out of texas and repaired. It would need to be blasted and painted to be perfect. If you are interested I will dig out some pictures and see what price I had it listed for. I live outside the Philadelphia area. Duane PS. Don't throw out your core support, maybe I can get some pieces off it to save another one.
Guys, We have a 72 support sitting around in the garage that would need a patch kit, both sides. Garrison saw a picture of it a while back & said it looked to him like a good "builder" core. If anyone wants it, it can be had for the shipping costs. D.
Duane, If Steve is not interested, let me know. I may very well be. I need a good support for my Suncoupe. I actually have 1 side of a repair kit from Mike, but am not a welder at all and do not have the means to do it. So I am interested in seeing what you have and want for it. Mike
When I repaired this core support is wasn't very bad, so I didn't need to use the repair kit. I repaired the bottom of both mounting cups and replaced a piece of the sheetmetal under the battery tray area only. When finished the repairs would not be noticeable. I will see if I can find the pictures and post them here. Duane
Guys, I sent my info to steve 524, as requested, and have not had any response back from him. Therefore I am assuming he is not interested in my part and it is back on the open market. If anyone is interested in it, let me know. Duane
