I'm looking for a new boot for my 72 GS convertible. It is Bamboo with a dark green interior. I took it to a custom guy today who said it would be easier to order from Year One, as he can't get those little pieces that slide under the trim.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for a place to order one? I'm also going to try to get arm rests. I'm not as worried about cost as much as I am about getting the right thing.

    Thanks!
 New to all this stuff!

Most repro ones are black. Order one and use SEM to dye it to the colour you like which I assume is tan or green. If your interior is a dark shade of green I would tend towards this color because it will be easier to cover the black.

Beth --try 1A Auto, a vendor on this Board. They are a lot cheaper than Year One. YO's shipping and handling charges are questionable. Check the Index or home page on this Board for the link.

Thanks Jim. Several vendors have them in green, in different colors, I guess I have to figure out what the fabric is on the one I have. There is Madrid vinyl and a couple of other names. That's why I was hoping to give it to the custom guy so he would just figure it out. :pp

If green works and is available I would buy it. Even if the shade is not the best you can let it pass or shoot some green dye that is closer to what you need.

When you go to slip the plastic tabs under your pinch weld molding make sure the paint is clrean. Then spray down some wax and leave it wet. This can be a tight fit for the tabs especailly if someone has made the big mistake of letting someone sit up there in the past.

I would highly recommend Legendary. Check out the colors on their site. They will even send you material samples for you to choose from.

Very reasonably priced and easy to work with.

Legendary and PUI most-often recommended. Get samples for best match...then shop vendors for best price...
