I took a look at this car - http://buffalo.craigslist.org/car/339279624.html. It's a mess, but he has everything for it - all original. The motor still turns over, but hasn't been started in many years. The owner has had it since 1974, drove it for 11 years, then parked it in back of his garage. Needs floor pans, trunk pan, front fender dog legs, rear frame rails repaired, rear quarters (could be patched with coupe qtrs) - pretty much a huge project. The doors, dash, and interior look pretty good, he said the top works. 350 2 barrel, red/dark orange color, tan interior, black top, 107k miles.

I don't need another project, so I'm passing. He's asking $750 or BO. I think it could be had for less than $500. The owner sold thier house and they are moving to North Carolina on June 13th, so it has to go.

It's not worth restoring a car with no pedigree, unless it was your first car or something silly like that. If you want a Skylark Convertible, you can do better.

That's what I thought. Might be worth a few hundred to someone in parts?

That would be the best bet. If you have the time and space, you can get lots of parts from it, but lots of the big ticket items are rusty I think he says.
