I'm putting a new motor in the Skylark. Fired it off today and the steering wheel turned violently to the left. There is fluid in the reservoir, and I know the return is working as you can remove the cap and turn the wheel with the engine off and see/hear the fluid moving in the reservoir. Has new hoses and new pump/reservoir on it. the fittings were looped when the motor was pulled, so I don't think any junk could have gotten in the gear assembly. Anyone have any ideas? When you swapped the engine, did you remove the hoses from the pump? Did you put them back on correctly? the hoses may be reversed
