Well its a long shot but you never know... My car was last inspected in 81 in Georgia. Since then it has made its way to NJ and now resides in PA. It would be a WS code engine and the serial number should be: 42H115274
If that's my race motor...you are out of luck!!!!.....lol I have 2 72 Stage 1 motors and will look just to be sure...Hope you can find it. Does the car have the original transmission in it yet???
The guy said he checked the numbers years ago and thinks it is... We havent put it on lift yet but we'll see.
IMO, even if it's a stage1 block, it's not your stage1 block. This makes your car non-numbers regardless. Don't overpay for a block.
Good point. Marco, I registered my car but not sure if it worked? I did it a month or two ago and it never came up in the registry. Louie
Is the number 42HXXXXXX or V2HXXXXXX. I am curious to see of it's GS, Riv or Centurion. Espeically given that there is a 72 Stage 1 Convertible on e-bay that doesn't have the correct engine.
Yes, http://stage1registry.com/stage1info.html If you scroll down to 1972, it will show that all engine serial numbers started with 42H with the last eight digits of the vin. Louie
