Up to 144 months financing! Oh Boy! That adds up to only 201,456.00! Volo has found a way to make this car affordable to the guy on a budget!

On a side note, Dave Kleiner knowingly bought a GSX (from Chicago) out from under a friend of mine, who had already made a deal for it. Later that year, one of his GSX "restorations" was on display at the Nats. I was not impressed, to say the least. There were a lot of little things wrong with it, and the paint was flaking at the door sills, where he had tried to feather the original paint. Whoever buys this car needs to know what he's looking at, and bring a magnet. Dan

P.S. for that price, Volo could at least NOT call it a Grand Sport.

You'd think for a 100K car they could put the correct GS emblem on the trunk! :Dou:

If Dave bought the car. It still must have been for sale! Or the owner wouldn't have been able to sell it to Dave now would he?

I would also add that Brad Conley has been pretty happy with the restorations Dave did on the GSX show car and the 71 GSX. Mud slinging it sounds to me. :(

In the 80s I bought a 66 Corvette from VOLO. It was a blue/black 300 HP coupe, 4spd, AC, PS, PDB, side pipes car. The paint and interior were perfect and it was mechanically sound. At the time, the price seemed high at $13K. But in hindsight it was a great deal. I drove that car with a minimum of cost for many years, both for pleasure and at the strip quite a few times.

Then in 96 when I was transferred to HK, I had a 95 Corvette ZR1 on my hands that had 1800 miles on it. He got me $50K for it, which was a haircut from the $60K I paid at the dealer new, but not too bad.

My point is this. The guy is in business to get the best price he can for cars he sells for himself or on consignment from his customers. There's no doubt that he has a great business attracting some really nice cars to sell. The prices may seem high, but as usual buyer beware. He has some real gems in there too, that will go up in value.

If you love old cars like I do, half the fun of VOLO is just going there and looking around. There are some incredible cars there for sale. Many are more than you'd be willing to pay but in any visit you leave scratching your head and wondering if you could swing buying one or two of them that really hit you between the eyes.

I have never had the chance to go, but I saw that Buick because my girlfriend was in Chicago with her family this week and they were going there. I was looking for specific cars to have her take pic's of and pick up flyers on.

Her dad bought a '82 Corvette from Volo a few years back, and it is nice, despite that isn't one of the first years most would pick for a collector vette.

Back when I lived in IL, the friend I spoke of told me about a trip to Volo. He said it was very cool just to see the stuff for sale. Volo himself was out and about talking to visitors and really a nice guy. Dan
