Hi all! Any Sun Coupe guys out there have any issues with their top sealing down to the rooftop? Mine stays off the rooftop about one inch when latched. If I open and slide it back and move handle to the locked position it does drop down to the rooftop where it should be. Any ideas what could keep it from drawing down when actually trying to latch it closed? See pics. Also now need a handle(just the base part the handle mounts to) if anyone has one out there. Broke mine trying to figure this out.
I am in Missouri. I thought same thing, can’t see anything binding. All seems to work like normal when not actually latching closed. Top I would say has shrunk some(it’s old likely original) would it do this if top is to tight?
Possibly. I know of a good source for suncoupe parts locally. What part of MO are you in? I'm in the STL area.
@Libb42 I saw you were inquiring about a handle in another thread and I found this Suncoupe in Washington state. Seller looks to be selling the car as a whole, it's missing the entire drivetrain but the roof closure handle is there! It's worth a shot. Good luck.
