I got my car today. It's in great shape, better than I thought. Some surface rust but nothing that's real bad yet. And the interior is in better shape than I thought. I gotta replace the exhaust right away, its got holes in the pipes and no tailpipe. I'm thinking of doing dual exhausts right off the bat. No headers, yet, but eventually I suppose. Any exhaust suggestions?

The car had the original manuals and the delivery invoice in the glove box. I checked out the underside and it's really solid, no major rust in the floor pans or frame. The windshield has a big crack though and will have to get replaced. I think I can do minor body work on it for now and repaint it, wont have to do a major tear down for now. Engine compartment is really clean too, no big rust.

I am overall very happy with the car. I need to fix the exhaust and tune it up and I'll be ready to roll with it.

Neat car. I am restoring what the owner told me was a 73 limited. But while looking for fenders I found them on E bay for 71-72 and the picture looks exact to what I have?? So I will see if I can get Bad Boat Tail to sheck the VIN.

    thats not true..

I knew mine was made in flint but when I saw your post I questioned myself.

So I rechecked the VIN. It is an H car. which means Flint.

1973 Buick. .. its not experimental or prototype or anything that i know of. Just plain jane custom. If anything it is a wierd car because it is a Lesabre custom but it has no customizations. Its just plain jane. The only option it has is rear defrost.

So ya, my 1973 Buick Lesabre Custom was built in Flint michigan

    Thanks for the correction, Gary:beer

That's what I get for assuming the limited information I have is correct:laugh:

I should look into this stuff more before I post.
