A local yard just pulled in a fairly complete 73 Centurion. Anyone need anything off this car? Anything of particular value I should save? Car has the 455 - unfortunately I have no place to store it... Also, will '73 Centurion hood hinges work on a '72 LeSabre?
If they are not destroyed the front rubber bumper trim with the thin yellowish rubber insert. It is a three piece set.
Looking for a passenger side mirror and a driver's side front turn signal lense assembly. Let me know either way.
Is it at a full service yard where you have to let them pull the parts or a self serve yard where you can spend some time with the car?
There are a couple of rare parts that might be simple to get if they are present. The trunk lock cover mentioned above was only used on 1973 Centurions and is rare. Passenger side mirrors are also rare. FYI in 1973 the 455 was an optional engine and came with 455 badges below the Centurion nameplate. Those 455 badges are specific to the big cars and fairly rare. If they are present they should sell for a good price. The "n" in the Centurion fender badges are very prone to breaking off. If this car has complete badges I'm sure someone on the Centurion board will be happy to have them. The headlight bezels are prone to pitting. If the ones from this car are reasonable to good they'll be worth taking. I'd like the pot metal peices that attach to the rear fender extensions just above the rear bumper. Mine are badly pitted and I'd love to have something better. This is might be overly optimistic but if you can remove the jacking instructions from the trunk lid without tearing I'd love to have those as well. Thanks, John
