Ken, what Chris said! There were two coupes, and the one with the louvers is the Colonnade. The one with the fixed window is the rare one - I know 25 of those were built with the 455. For the 400, it's a couple hundred.
I'll have to ask my buddy some questions about this car. So the colonnade window, is it the same window but just with the louvers fixed in place over it, or is it an entirely different window design that the non colonnade non-louver window? Or is the louvered window like several small pieces of glass in multiple frames (louvers)? Either way, it is a "fixed" window correct? In that it does not roll down.
Oh, and BTW. The Grand Am was actually the hotter ticket in '73 as you could order a 455 in one which you could not in a GTO if I remember correctly. You couldn't get a stick with the 455 though...[/QUOTE] Actually you could get the Standard 455. Believe they were rated at 250 hp. Station wagon motors. The confusion lies in the fact that there were never any Super Duty 455's, which made Cars Magazine "Car of the year". But you couldn't buy one, which is why I went with the 400. Almost the same HP, but better life expectancies. Didn't work, wiped out the crank at 36000!
Pontiac also had the Can Am right? In 77 I think. With the sealed shaker. I remember they ruined a couple in Smokey and the Bandit. :error:
