    Hi all
I found a great yard today and while the 73 Lesabre rear bumper won't work on my Centurion I do have a question about the passenger mirror I found on this Olds wagon. Is this a match for my Centurion? I still want a mirror and unfortunately the old cross compatability thread was hacked before I joined this borad (or even owned my Buick!) As always I appreciate the feedback and advice!

ps. Gotta love the camera phones!!!!!

You can always MAKE the mirror work:Brow:

    Looks correct to me..

Tempting.....that bumper looks identical to the '73 Centurion bumper. Already have a spare, but could always use an extra set of tail light lenses. The rubber trim is also tempting, but a royal pain in the rear getting off an old car without taking the bumper.

The side mirror is also identical to my '73 Centurion.

LOL Some how I knew you would chime in on this thread! Thanks for the input. Looks like I make a trip tomorrow or Friday.

ps. I found the elusive trunk trim for my Centurion too. I just have to wait until I get some shipping prices before I give the go-ahead. I think putting the car away for the winter is going to kill me! I want to keep working on it.

I think it is in BC or Alberta. I have to call them today so I'll ask again. I'm pretty sure it is from western Canada tho.

    Mirrors

That mirror looks correct for a 71-72 big Buick, since it's got a screw at the base to attach it. Some of the Olds and later Buicks used mirrors with studs at the base. If you use one with studs at the base, instead of the screw and bracket, you have to cut out a bunch of metal from the inside of the door so you can get a nut on the studs.

    Back up lights

Shrav, find out what the back up lights are going for. I could use the pair. Thanks.

Well the mirror in the 1st post is now firmly attached to my Buick! It is funny how such a small chrome part can make such a difference. I think it was definately worth the $15 I paid for it. Also getting the lower rear stainless trim for behind the rear wheel to replace the bent one as part of the $15 makes it an even sweeter deal!

The yard is about 2 hours from my house but I "may" be up that way in a week or so. What is the max you want to spend on them? I think this guy likes the fact that I care about the old cars and tell him to crush the new ones and leave the classics alone. I doubt he would ask for some insane price. Let me know!
