Ok well i put on the stock 750 carb that was rebuilt not to long ago. I was having trouble with the seconary lockuout coming off, so i pulled it off. Wow what a difference, i picked up over a second in my 0-60. Now the issue is from a stop when i punch it it bogs and alost dies then recovers and launches me like im in a rocket ship. When driving like 40mph and i gun it, it slows down and makes almost a gargling sound then it recovers and takes off. Ive waited until my engine temp was 190 before i tried to punch it.

My hanger is o i believe and my secondary rods are AZ. It almost feels like its getting to much fuel, but im not sure. It shouldnt be lack of fuel because i have my electric fuel pump on as well as my mech.

    Thanks for the help.

It could be that the secondary air valve needs to be tightened up - it may be too much too soon.

There are a lot of threads dealing with tightening this spring that a search should turn up.

The vacuum break on the front passenger side should work and pull in the link to the air valves. If you can push the air valves in while the engine is running there is something wrong there. Vacuum break slows the opening of the air valves. Without it, there will be a bog.

I just installed a new vaccume break, but now im thinking carbs unlimited sent me the wrong one. It seems to flow a lot more than the old one i had on there.

Ill have to check and see if i can push the air valves why the car is running.

well ill checked out the secondary air valves and i can push them in about 1/4 of an inch due to slop, but it really doesnt move. if i push hard, then i can get it to release and open.

Air valve should'nt move more than about .020" when vacuum is applied to the pulloff diaphram. Bend the short leg on the linkage to set properly if needed.
