I NEED THE REAR METAL BRAKELINE FROM PROPORTIONING VALVE TO BACK AXLE. MINE IS RUSTED, WE TRIED TO REMAKE IT. IT HAS A VERY UNUSUAL TYPE OF FITTING THAT GOES TO THE REAR THAT WE CANNOT DUPLICATE. SEEMS TO BE THE SAME PART FOR ALL 1970'S GM SEDANS. USED PART WILL BE JUST GREAT AS LONG AS NO RUST AND CONNECTIONS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. PLEASE HELP, CAR SITTING IN GARAGE WITH NO WAY TO STOP IT.

You may find what you need through In Line Tube. They do repros of brake lines based on factory specs. (800) 385-9452 or (586) 532-1338. Website is www.inline-tube.com. I've used them before and have been very pleased.

    brake line

Take the old brake line to any GOOD parts store(if there is such a thing anymore) they should have an adaptor that screws onto a 3\16 or 1\4 inch line to fix you up. Done it a million times. If you can"t find one, cut the fitting you need off the old line and put it on your new line and double flare it. I sure wouldn"t let my Buick set for a minor thing like that, remember, NO COPPER LINE, NO COMPRESSION FITTINGS, steel or stainless steel brake line ONLY. I am not trying to sound like a know it all, just want you to be safe, a old guy told me many years ago" Kid, you got to steer em and you got to stop em, every thing else is a bonus" Mike

    just the rear line...

Yeah, I just need the rear line from prop. valve to rear axle. Its a real long line so you'd have to create some soft bends to get it into a large box. If thats something you think you can do, let me know. What would you want to sell it for? I'd obviously pay the shipping and handling...and I prefer it goes ground since the cost to ship it will already be elevated for large object.
