I wish the Junk yard cars up my way in MA were so rust free. Don't know the real reason this one was junked but it looks like it could be restored if there was a market for a 4 door Bonneville..
Wonder what ratio that posi is?

Yes the body and chrome is good. Codes probably caught up with the owner who didn't care much.

Bet the ratio is 2.41 or 2.56 at the most, being a 350 was the biggest engine available, whether it was Chevy, Olds, Buick, or Pontiac 350

This U Pull it is expensive. Close to $50 for a HEI. They piece out the coil, and the vacuum module. Then the environmental fee and 10% tax. Of course a core charge too.

Am going to pull this axle / rear tomorrow and place it in a vehicle (truck bed) that has a longer life expectancy. A customer has taken the upper rear arms so it is just hanging by the lowers and e brake cables. This Bonneville was placed in December so it has little time left. Still has the 11” drums and all brake hardware intact. Very low rust on housing. Will get axle code from R tubing.

There was an Oldsmobile 6.6L (403 ci) engine also, no fire breather though, so your point on the highway ratios is still relevant.

If you're in Tucson, I have 70 Sport wagon rear end and 68-9 9 3/8 rear ends with drums etc. $50. OBO you could carry back. Also have other Buick parts like 455 stuff enough to build an engine. I tried to list it in a post but Ed. cancelled it because I didn't list a price. Stuff is too heavy to ship, but if you're within 200 mi. pay my gas or trade me something.
